Are you an indie book fan?

Have you read an awesome self-published book that you want to shine a light on? Do you have a favourite topic you can go on and on and on about? Do you have a passion for indie books and want to help others find the really good stuff?

Do you want to contribute to Read Indie Fantasy by adding more books to our collection?

Here’s how to do it…

First of all, make sure you check the guidelines below. Then, use the contact form to drop us a note and tell us about your idea โ€“ just so there isn’t someone else working on the same thing already.

Reviews

  • We only review indie books that are either self-published or published via a small/independent press.
  • We want to highlight the good stuff, and we want to share reviews of things you’re excited about and that you feel is top-notch.
  • Please avoid reviewing books that require previous books to be read, unless those books have already been reviewed. Reviews of complete series are welcome.
  • We want you to include a short bio so readers know who you are, with a link to your website if you have one, and a photo. If you’re shy and don’t want your face shown, a picture of your dog or something else that’s meaningful to you is fine too.
  • You’re more than welcome to take your own picture of the book/cover to use as a header image for the article, but it’s not required.

Articles

  • We’re interested in articles that match what we’re about โ€“ indie books.
  • Our hypothetical target individual (the person you’re writing for, who’s reading your article) is a speculative fiction reader who is curious about finding new things off the beaten path. They’re not an author, but they don’t mind hearing about what happens behind the scenes.
  • If you’re an author, you’re welcome to refer to your own work to illustrate your points โ€“ just don’t overdo it.
  • Minimum length is 500 words.
  • We don’t have a set maximum length, but keep in mind that if your article is too long, readers might not finish it.
  • We want you to include a short bio so readers know who you are, with a link to your website if you have one, and a photo. If you’re shy and don’t want your face shown, a picture of your dog or something else that’s meaningful to you is fine too.
  • If you’re an author, you’re also welcome to include links to your books.
  • You don’t have to be a writer or an author to write an article for us.

Short Stories

  • At this time, we do not accept short stories. At this time…
