Today we’re excited to host a cover reveal for A Feast for the Void by S.P. Green, one of three poetry collections in the Fistfuls of Poetry Backerkit campaign launching as part of The Book Bazaar this October by Pickle Jar Press, of which S.P. Green is the only author.

A Feast for the Void is a collection of poetry and personal essays exploring the author’s turbulent childhood and the messy healing they’ve been working on since. They’ll be dark humour and garlic bread! The book will also feature illustrations and photography.

A Feast for the Void is a poetic examination of S.P. Green’s troubled childhood. Time has given them perspective on the things they remember. As for the things they don’t, well, perhaps that’s for the best.

Healing hasn’t been easy over the years, but it was all worth it. They survived the feast, and the bite marks have healed. They know they aren’t the only one who has. Now, they share their tale to reach those who know how to survive the gnashing teeth of sorrow.

About the Author

S.P. Green (SpookyxPickle) is an author, an artist, aaaaand a weirdo all rolled into one delightful human bean. At least, they try to pass for human. Usually, they’re two possums and three ferrets running amuck in a trench coat. And one of them is wearing clown shoes. And it isn’t the guy on the ground.

In their spare time, Green enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with their friends, napping with their cats, and heeding the screams of the void. Sometimes, they even dabble in arts & crafts so that their brain makes the good chemicals. You can find Green’s work under the pen names of Machelle Berglund and S.P. Green. They’re known as SpookyxPickle on most social media apps.
