Please welcome Fistfuls of Poetry by Spooky Pickle in the spotlight!
Fistfuls of Poetry is a collection of three poetry books: Revenants, If I Could Color You, and A Feast for the Void exploring human rage, queer joy, and a personal memoir of sorts.
Sometimes, one must heed the siren call to create, to put a project out into the world, for others to behold, to feel deep in their hearts as if they had lived it. Though most of the time, inky goblins that lay in wait outside of the light of that siren song, use their grubby hands wrestle you away from the light of creation.
These sad globs aren’t your enemy, despite their less than honorable actions. They are merely misunderstood. They offer a source of creation all their own, albeit one a bit messier than the perfection that sits so clearly in the throne of your mind.
Harnessing the power of both the singing light and the messy darkness leads to entirely new avenues of art, should you dare walk them, should you allow imperfection to add it’s own mark.
The campaign is raising funds for print copies and special rewards, including art prints, stickers, and bookmarks.
About the Author
S.P. Green (SpookyxPickle) is an author, an artist, aaaaand a weirdo all rolled into one delightful human bean. At least, they try to pass for human. Usually, they’re two possums and three ferrets running amuck in a trench coat. And one of them is wearing clown shoes. And it isn’t the guy on the ground.
In their spare time, Green enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with their friends, napping with their cats, and heeding the screams of the void. Sometimes, they even dabble in arts & crafts so that their brain makes the good chemicals. You can find Green’s work under the pen names of Machelle Berglund and S.P. Green. They’re known as SpookyxPickle on most social media apps.
