Please welcome A Dragon For Darius by Sherrie A Bakelar in the spotlight!
A Dragon For Darius is the story of Darius, born during the collapse of civilization, into the darkness of the Evernight. It’s the story of Yùlóng, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, her immortal protector. It is a story told in four parts, four books that is.
Darius just wanted to live her life, a simple routine that kept her safe and fed on the streets of Chicago. When a murder interrupted that routine, a group of rebels hijacked her life and sent her on a quest to save the planet and overthrow the secretive religious cult that ruled the world.
The author is raising funds for limited edition hummingbird covers for all four books in the series, with backer rewards including matching bookmarks and postcards from Darius’ journey.
About the Author
My name is Sherrie A. Bakelar. Born a storyteller, I’ve been creating and sharing stories as far back as I can remember. In 2005, I set a goal for myself to write ten novels. It didn’t matter how long it took, how they were published, or if anyone ever read them. All that mattered was that I wrote them. In 2015, I published my first novel, Book One of the Lady Warrior Saga, a dark fantasy series. The first book of my cozy horror series, Milia of Moonlight, followed. Shortly afterward, I wrote a stand-alone fantasy called In My Time of Dying. (An SPFBO Semi-Finalist in 2026) Part Four of A Dragon for Darius, Baihu, White Tiger of the West, will be my tenth book. In celebration, we are offering these special hummingbird covers.
Although I have achieved the goal I set for myself to write ten books, I have not yet finished writing, there are always more stories to tell.
