In cased you missed our announcement regarding the annual Book Bloggersโ Novel of the Year Awards, we’re taking part in this years awards as a panelist!
This is a great honour for us at Uncharted Library as it’s our first time taking part in a book blogging event, especially as we’re still a young new blog. Acting as a panelist comes with responsibility as we’ll be reading through entrant’s books and judging them. But this of course also means we get to read more great indie books and discover talented new authors.
BBNYA is a book award competition designed to showcase the amazing indie and self-published authors out there. Naturally, we couldn’t miss out on this chance to promote indies as that’s what we’re here for!
The first round of judging is currently underway, and I’ve already read through my excerpts and chosen which books are worthy of the next round. I had a great time reading these excerpts, which were a nice mix of fantasy, urban fantasy, dystopian, and some sci-fi. There were honestly some fantastic opening chapters here, and I can’t wait to read more in the coming rounds. There was also one that really blew me away, but I can’t say anymore! Regardless of how well these books do in the overall competition, I’ll be picking up these to review on our blog.
Now that the competition has started, I’d like to introduce the other amazing book bloggers part of my team! These folks deserve some love, so check them out.
