July is Disability Pride Month, and while we’re a little late to the party, there’s no stopping us from celebrating disabled authors all year round! Naturally at Read Indie Fantasy, we’re all about celebrating indie and self-published authors, so we wanted to showcase some of the many (MANY) amazing books by a range of authors with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Not all disabilities are visible, but disabled authors often struggle with the additional costs of being disabled and many rely on selling their books to make an income.
If you’ve ever wanted to support disabled authors and didn’t know where to find recommendations, this list is for you! We’ve a wide range of fantasy, sci-fi, and some horror books so you’re bound to find your perfect read.
