Today we’re excited to host a cover reveal for Sanguine Scenario by Joanna Maciejewska, the first in the new Sanguine Saga series of fantasy adventure featuring no romance and by the author of By the Pact and Humanborn.

If you like your fantasy full of adventure, friendship, witty banter, tea, a dog companion, and some blood magic for fun, then this may be for you! But what’s it all about?

Sanguinist, researcher, and tea connoisseur Nyraleth Aevensong is on an adventure, and she doesn’t like it at all.

Nyraleth had long known that “adventures are what get people killed,” so she avoided them in favor of steady blood magic research and endless pots of tea. Yet, when her friend’s letters stop coming, she sets out (not on an adventure!) to get him out of whatever trouble he’s gotten himself into and drag him back home as soon as possible.

She doesn’t expect to be mixed up with duty bound Oathed, happy-go-lucky rogues, and a conspiracy that goes beyond a blood drinking murderer…
Avoiding adventures might be harder than Nyraleth thought.

About the Author

Joanna might be a bit too cautious to do anything even remotely daring or dangerous herself, so she writes about daring adventures and dangerous magic instead. Yet, she found enough courage to abandon her life in Poland and move to Ireland, and then some years later, she abandoned her life in Ireland to move over to the US. She’s determined to settle there, once she finally chooses which state to reside in.

When she’s not writing or thinking about writing, she plays video games or makes amateur art. She lives the happy life of a recluse, surrounded by her husband, a stuffed red monkey, and a small collection of books she insisted on hauling across two continents.
