Guest Review: Good Bad Witch

It’s hard being a good witch when your clients want bad magic.

I’m a witch. Not a powerful witch, mind, but as Grandma liked to say, itโ€™s all in the kindness, not the power. Grandma is gone now, but her dream of having a witch shop lives with me. So, when the opportunity to run my own shop presents itself, I move across the country to take it, no questions asked.

But maybe I should have.

The sexy local bounty hunter shifter thinks Iโ€™m up to no good, my clients keep asking me to use forbidden dark magic, and someoneโ€™s trying to sabotage my shop. Probably the same someone who reported me to the Witch Council and left a dead body in my bathtub.

Hah! Jokeโ€™s on them. As Grandma also used to say, itโ€™s nothing a positive attitude, excellent cleaning supplies, and the complete annihilation of whoever has in it for me canโ€™t fix.

Paraphrasing.

Join Hope in her quest to save her shop in the Urban Fantasy world of Good Bad Magic, featuring witches, shifters, demons, one sexy bounty hunter, and all kinds of magical creatures. Full of humor, banter, plenty of heart, and a slow-burn romance.

Perfect for fans of K.M. Shea, Annabel Chase, and Hailey Edwards.

Firstly, look how GORGEUS that cover is! Stunning!

Secondly, I love this book. I didn’t want to stop reading, couldn’t stop reading. This is the perfect cosy read. Medina’s main character, Hope, is laugh out loud funny, and no, I’m not exaggerating. I caught myself chuckling, snorting, and laughing on most pages.

Medina’s writing style is polished and just right for urban fantasy and its adjacent genres.

Good Bad Witch features a fascinating mix of supernatural characters (witches, shifters, mages, demons, and more) set in a small town, complete with a body in Hopeโ€™s bathtub.

Hope just took over the local witch shop, already received a one-star review, and some of her clients are asking for bad, forbidden magic. How will she explain any of this to the Council without losing the shop again?

Hope is not a powerful witch, she’s out of her depth, but her positive attitude more than makes up for it.

What else is there to say? Oh yes. There is a dog called Fluffy. And Fluffy is a ball of fluff and simply cute.

The romance is a slow burn, but Ian’s grumpiness is adorable, especially paired with Hope’s sunshine nature.

Good Bad Witch is a delightful mystery, full of humour and banter. The perfect comfort read for a day when you don’t want to deal with too much angst and darkness, and are instead looking for tons of heart, found family, and adorable pets.
