Welcome to our special Pride Month spotlight, where we’ll be featuring multiple spotlights of LGBTQ+ books from LGBTQ+ authors throughout Pride month this June! These spotlights are to showcase the incredible talent of self-published authors. Want to take part in a spotlight? Then get in touch!
Today we’re not just featuring one book, but ten across the entire Inheritance series by A. K. Faulkner. We’ll start with the description of the first book in the series, Jack of Thorns:
Can you change destiny?
Laurence Riley has seen the future, and all his visions are coming true. Just as he canโt control the addiction that dominates his life, or the mindgames of his stalker ex-boyfriend, he also struggles with his untamed supernatural gifts.
Jack can help. His price is that Laurence keeps him fed with regular offerings of sex, but Laurence has fallen for someone way out of his league whose wild telekinesis keeps them even further apart, and his debt to Jack is piling up fast.
When he foresees the spread of a narcotic nectar that will leave a trail of death across San Diego, Laurence must find the courage to determine whether his visions are set in stone. The past has taught him that the future canโt be changed, but if Jackโs poison wins, there wonโt be any future.
Thereโs no time to lose.
Fans of Sarah J. Maas and Leigh Bardugo wonโt want to miss what readers have described as Percy Jackson for adults.
The Inheritance series is split between ten books across two seasons. This is an urban fantasy series based in San Diego and features multiple M/M relationships and plenty of queer representation. The series begins with the two main characters, Laurence, a bisexual Pagan-worshipping florist with growing powers related to the Pagan gods, and Quentin, a British noble escaping the secrets of his past that not even he can remember. Their relationship and powers grow through each book in a satisfying slow burn with action and some trauma!
You can find out more about Inheritance via the Discover Inheritance website.
The tenth book in the series, Wheel of Fate, is available now! You can purchase the series on ebook, paperback, and audiobook.
