The Trans Rights Readathon is back and continues to be as relevant and needed as ever! While we encourage you all to read books about trans and non-binary characters by trans and non-binary authors all year round, The Trans Rights Readathon is an annual readathon in support of Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st, with the readathon taking place across March 17-31. This is a great way of finding new authors and books!

The readathon is hosted by @trreadathon.bsky.social where you can learn more or visit the readathon website to sign up and find additional resources!
You can take part in the readathon by buying books by trans and bon-binary authors, shouting about their books and posting reviews. If you’re not sure where to find books, then I recommend checking out the Indie Book Database on the official readathon website. Alternatively, you can view our awesome LGBTQIA+ Collection to find indie and self-published books filtered by genre. If you’re an indie and self-published trans author, you can also submit your books!
To Get You Started…
Naturally, we love to shout about indie and self-published non-binary authors, so here is a collection of FIFTY (count ’em!) fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and romance books. Some of these may or may not feature trans or non-binary characters, but all are written by authors who identify as trans or non-binary. Show them some love:

Craig Schaefer! She is a trans author and all of her books have queer characters. But since this is a trans readathon, let’s go with The Hungry Dreaming as it has a trans character. One of the MCs, at that.
My friend just self published her first book to good reception! Here’s a link to the Amazon page.
