Today I’m hosting a spotlight for Ephemera by Ruth Miranda, the 2nd book in the Mythos trilogy that began with Witch Craft, a story of magic and mystery.

While Eli Vaughn lies in a coma-like sleep in his bedroom at Daylesford, across the portal in Ephemera, Nox Sylvain wakes up alone in his family’s cottage. After his parents’ outcasting, he must now follow on his father’s steps and become a Silvares in Ephemera Sylua, with no one for company but the flock of griffendrakes that follow him everywhere. His solitude lessens when he meets the Dellaqua sisters, blind Hya and beautiful Stella, who, like Nox, can charm birds to do her bidding – and though Nox is no winged creature, he, too, falls under her spell.
It’s his friendship with the Lord of Thorne Ridge, though, that threatens to upend Nox’s life, for with conflicting forces rising all around him, he must choose sides and make a stand.
The revelation about the truth of his origins and Stella’s unbridled ambition leave Nox without a choice but to forfeit the woman he loves for the sake of his family.

But what dangers will his choices send to Weaver’s Creek?

About the Author

Ruth Miranda is a Portugal born and raised author who feels more comfortable around words than people, especially if those words happen to be in English, a language she once taught for a living – amongst other varied jobs. She started making up stories in her head as a child, to put herself to sleep, but the stories kept growing with her, so eventually, they needed to be put to paper. Her published work includes The Heir of Avalon Series, the romance novel Danseur and the Byanamese Romance series.
