The Book Bazaar 2026 is an exciting collaborative crowdfunding event on Backerkit of 39 indie authors who have come together to raise funds for their campaigns. In celebration, and to help promote these authors, we’ll be featuring spotlights through the fundraising period for you to check and out and support! Within The Book Bazaar, you’ll find a variety of genres, including fantasy, sci-fi, horror, queer, and romance, as well as a variety of formats such as novels, novellas, series, anthologies, and audiobooks. There’s something for everyone!

Please welcome Between You, Me, & the Moonlit Sea by Linn Silver in the spotlight!

Between You, Me, & the Moonlit Sea is a contemporary queer fantasy romance with a genderfluid MC and aro-pan love interest. Bell is a fox spirit who only wants one thing: true love — & when they meet Tae, they begin to think they just might have found it. The problem? They also want to kill him & devour his soul.

What is stronger, love or hunger?

A-yeong “Bell” Moon is a gumiho who only wants one thing: true love. Sadly, after experiencing yet another failed relationship, they’re starting to think maybe it’s just not going to happen. Tired of the heartbreak, they decide to let loose for a while and not think about true commitments– which puts them right in the path of Tae Yun, a young man not looking for love himself, but always willing to have a little fun. After a one-night stand becomes multiple and the two realize they actually enjoy each other’s company outside the bedroom too, they become fast friends. As they get closer, Tae starts to struggle with the idea that he might actually have feelings for Bell, something he’s never experienced before. He’s not the only one, though. Despite claiming they were forsaking love, Bell might’ve found it with him. Tae could finally be The One. The only problem? They keep having thoughts about devouring his soul.

As if that wasn’t difficult enough to deal with, their friend who has harbored feelings for them for years doesn’t seem willing to give them up to a human. It doesn’t help that he’s their family’s choice of suitor for them, a union they’ve been pushing for for decades. Now Bell has to find a way to save Tae from not only their own nature, but their family’s schemes. Will this fragile thing between them survive the onslaught, or will Bell be forced to accept that love truly can’t conquer all?
