When two human wizards finally pin him down in an abandoned orcish mountain fortress, he must use his wits and cunning to prevail, redeeming himself and the magic of his people.
After the World is one of the first books I reviewed on this site, back when it was still called Uncharted Library. It’s a short, thoughtful novella of a kind I rarely see in fantasy fiction. If you’re looking for something off the beaten path, this is well worth your while.
